Prof. Banasiak is an eminent cardiologist. Since the beginning of his professional path, he has worked at the 4th Military Clinical Hospital with Polyclinic in Wrocław. Co-responsible for the establishment of the cardiology and cardiac surgery clinics, and ultimately – the Centre for Heart Disease at the hospital, he has since 2022 been involved in the founding of the Faculty of Medicine at Wrocław University of Science Technology. He is a member of several prestigious scientific societies around the world – including The European Society of Cardiology, The North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology, and The International Society for Holter and Non-invasive Electrocardiology. He chaired the Commission of Cardiology of the Committee of Clinical Pathophysiology of the Polish Academy of Sciences and also served as President of the Polish Society of Cardiology. He is a long- standing Chairman of the National Examination Committee for Cardiology.
