            ADMISSION

a. Admission to a long-cycle Master's degree programme is based on the admission index (WM). The value of the index is determined by the results of the secondary school leaving examination in selected subjects.

b. In order to determine the admission index (WM), the secondary school leaving examination result given as a percentage is converted into a number of points in the following way:

percentage score = number of points.
c. The admission index (WM) is determined according to the following formula:

WM = B + M + PD + 0.1JO + 0.1JP

if B = 0 or M = 0, then WM = 0

where:

B – is equal to 2.5 R, where

• R – the number of points corresponding to the result of the secondary school leaving examination in biology at the extended level,

- M – is equal to the larger of the numbers: P or P + 1.5 R or 2.5 R where

• P – the number of points corresponding to the result of the secondary school leaving examination in mathematics at the basic level,

• R – the number of points corresponding to the result of the secondary school leaving examination in mathematics at the extended level,

PD – is equal to the larger of the numbers: P or P + 1.5 R or 2.5 R where

• P – the number of points corresponding to the result of the secondary school leaving examination in physics or chemistry at the basic level,

• R – the number of points corresponding to the result of the secondary school leaving examination in physics or chemistry at the extended level,

JO – is equal to the larger of the numbers: P or P + 1.5 R or 2.5 R, where

• P – the number of points corresponding to the result of the written secondary school leaving examination in a foreign language at the basic level,

• R – the number of points corresponding to the result of the written secondary school leaving examination in a foreign language at the extended level or at the bilingual level,

JP – is equal to the larger of the numbers: P or R, where

2.3. Admission index for long-cycle Master’s degree programme

• P – the number of points corresponding to the result of the written secondary school leaving examination in the Polish language at the basic level,

• R – the number of points corresponding to the result of the written secondary school leaving examination in the Polish language at the extended level,
d. The maximum value of the admission index (WM) is 785 points.
e. The minimum value of the admission index (WM) is 300 points.
f. Based on the number of candidates and the planned number of places for a particular study mode, as well as the language of instruction, the University determines the threshold values for the admission index (WM) referred to in section 2.3. A candidate meeting the conditions set out in section 1.9, 2.1 (a-f) is admitted to a degree programme if the value of the admission index (WM) they have obtained is greater than or equal to the specified threshold value for the study mode they have chosen, as well as the language of instruction.
g. A candidate who has applied for admission to a long-cycle Master's degree programme and has not been admitted to it and who subsequently has their secondary school leaving examination result in a given subject increased as a result of a review of the total score or as a result of an appeal as referred to in the Education System Act will be subject to re-entry to the admission procedure. The admission procedure will be conducted with reference to the eligibility thresholds set by the University for the admission process in which the candidate has received a decision of decline.
